About

asSalaam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu
(peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings)

“…a good tree, firmly rooted, reaching out with its branches towards the sky, yielding its fruit at all times by its Sustainer’s leave…”
quran 14:24-25

we are a muslim american family
with five girls
on our homeschooling journey,
trying to learn
with the end in mind:
Allah…from Him do we come and to Him is our return.

inshaAllah,
this blog will be of some benefit
to any who happen by,
to family that are dear, but not so near,
to chronicle our adventures and progress,
and maybe satisfy some sort of documentation requirement
in any school jurisdiction that we may end up in.

  1. ASA,

I saw your pics on facebook, I went to Spelman around the same time as you and through Ayesha Safeeullah I know your husband Ishaaq.

Now that I have said that piece, I really wanted to thank you for the blog-website and also connect with you as I only have one a 3 y.o. I have considered since his birth, that he was homeschool all that remained was my continuation of that idea and practice…. SO YESS!!!!
I too homeschool and would like to know how you spend your time with your kids and do you do other group outing with other kids? Why did you decide to homeschool?

Would love to hear from you… keep up your most important work!!!

    Shahidah

  2. Also I remember inquiring from Ishaaq, how you all manage your travel with children. This was in mind for my plans within the next couple of years or less. So when you get a chance share a little about your experience abroad… how has it impacted your children? Etc?

    Ma’a Salaama

  3. Hello good day to you!

I’ve read your blog and find it very much interesting. Can you do me a favor? Can I ask you to post my link in your blogroll/sidebar? In return with that I’ll write an article for you which are related to your blog. In this way, we both can benefit since there would probably more visitors in your blog and mine as well. It would be my pleasure if you will accept my request. Thanks in advance!
